9 Weeks straight – Time for a break – Barcelona here I come

From Australia, to Malaysia to Doha, nine weeks of travel and eight tournaments, time for a little R&R. I booked a ticket to Barcelona to visit my girlfriend, Laura, and her brothers, Thomas and Lucas. As Barcelona is never a city short of entertainment, the day I landed, I found myself in the middle of a protest, a witness to some live jazz music street-side at Placa Catalunya, and had some pretty tasty hot wings at Hard Rock.

A couple days later, watching Thomas and Lucas play Call of Duty, I realized that it was definitely time for a real battle. I booked a session at Barcelona paintball and after convincing Laura that being shot by a paintball doesn’t hurt that bad ;) ;) ;) she finally agreed to join.. so Tom, Luc, tennis coach Walter, Laura and I suited up and headed out to the field. Four hours later, covered in mud and bruises, I can definitely say that the day was action packed and a lot of fun! Watching Laura hide behind the bunker taking on two teenagers from the opposing team was definitely a highlight.

Barcelona has been great so far. Looking forward to my last few days here. Until next time.
