Natomas Racquet Club to Host USTA Pro Circuit Event, September 29- October 7

SACRAMENTO, California, October 6, 2012-Both James Blake and Mischa Zverev went into Saturday’s semi-final matches as favorites and both came out as winners. Zverev was first up on stadium court with wild card Daniel Kosakowski (USA) as his opponent. From the very beginning Zverev put the pressure on Kosakowski as he looked for every opportunity to rush the net. The strategy worked throughout the match as Kosakowski simply could put together enough passing shots to break through. Kowsakowski had his opportunities to break serve but Zverev was able to save all nine break points on serve winning, 6-2,6-2.

James Blake faced fellow American, Bobby Reynolds next and played a clean quick first set winning it 6-2. Reynolds immediately broke Blake to start the second set after a Blake double fault on break point and right away you sensed that Reynolds was going to make a match of it. In the end, Reynolds was able to take the second set to a tie-breaker but fell short eventually losing, 6-2, 7-6(3).

Sunday’s Finals will begin at 1 pm with the an All American Doubles Final. Tennys Sandgren and partner Rhyne Williams will take on Devin Britton and Austin Krajicek. The Singles Final will follow with James Blake playing Mischa Zverev.
