While on their way to Tokyo for the WTA Premier event, the Toray Pan Pacific Open, No. 1 Victoria Azarenka and No. 13 Dominika Cibulkova are stopping over in Ho Chi Minh City for the Heineken Stars exhibition, which starts Thursday.

“I have never been to Viet Nam before, so I’m excited to be here and can’t wait to see more of the country,” said Cibulkova, who was the first to arrive. “I have been to places like Tokyo and Beijing several times, but they are very different from here.”

Two ATP players, Gilles Simon and Feliciano Lopez will also play the one-day event. Simon will play the ATP tournament in Thailand next week while Lopez will play in Malaysia.

Two WTA international events, Korea and Guangzhou are going on those weeks, while the ATP has two 250s talking place in Metz, France, and St. Petersburg, Russia.
