One day after a series of epic upsets by American men’s doubles players, Bob and Mike Bryan begin their hunt for a fourth US Open men’s doubles crown when they take on Belgians Steve Darcis and David Goffin on Court 4. The Bryans won the title in 2005, 2008 and 2010 and reached the final in 2003, but last year they lost a first round shocker to Ivo Karlovic and Frank Moser in their earliest US Open exit since 1999.

Fresh off his victory in singles yesterday, USTA Boys’ 18s singles and doubles champion Dennis Novikov is back on the court today with his Boys’ 18s doubles partner, Michael Redlicki, going up against fellow Americans Bobby Reynolds and Michael Russell. Also playing today is the all-American veteran tandem of James Blake and Sam Querrey.
