As an official sponsor of the 2012 US Open, Heineken is attempting to expand its brand in and beyond the two weeks of the event.
Heineken will begin celebrating the US Open a week early with the start of “The Serve” by connecting tennis enthusiasts in celebrating the art of the perfect Heineken draught serve. The event will showcase the brand’s US Open-inspired fashion apparel line made in conjunction with signature t-shirt designer Sol Angeles.
In Flushing Meadows on the grounds of the US Open, Heineken will open the new Heineken Light Lounge, where tennis fans can try their hand at pouring the perfect draught beer in the “Perfect Pour Challenge,” as well as purchase the new US Open- inspired clothing from Sol Angeles.
A US Open favorite, the Heineken Red Star Café, will also reopen after a substantial renovation.
