Novak Djokovic has to stay alert to know if he’s coming or going as the 2012 tennis season continues its frantic post-Olympic pace with the US Open start looming in less than a fortnight.

The Cincinnati Masters top seed stepped straight back into the ATP mix directly after his medal-less London Olympic Games and picked up a 12th Masters shield at the weekend as he thrashed Frenchman Richard Gasquet in Toronto .

Now in Cincinnati , he often wonders just where he is on the globe at any given moment. “If you don’t keep track of time and places where you are, it happens. Sometimes you wake up and say, Okay, which time zone I am right now?,” said the world NO. 2 behind Roger Federer.

“It’s the way it is for everybody, mostly for top players. We are aware of the fact that Olympic Games are going to make our schedule more difficult and busier than previous years. That’s what happens always in the tennis schedule when you have Olympic year coming up. We all tried to work our schedule around that. For now, I’m feeling good.”
