Our 1st High Performance Camp has come to an end!
We have had an incredible week here in Amsterdam with days of extreme heat (especially for Amsterdam) into the 30 degrees Celsius.
We are so proud of all the camp participants and the coaches for delivering their total commitment and keeping the schedule that we had planned.
9 – 10 Yoga
10 – 11 core training (with TRX training equipment)
11 – 13 tennis (focus on the fundamentals of the game; learning the proper mental technical and tactical approach to a training session)
13 – 13:30 stretching/cool down
13 – 15 lunch/rest with Q and A (about hydration and recovery
15 – 16 on court footwork training; education of maximizing their speed, strength and recovery
16 – 18 tennis (focus on the fundamentals of the game of tennis; drills for technical purposes
18 – 18:30 stretching
18:30 – 19:30 Team dinner
Knock on wood for the fact that we have had no injuries or any withdraws from the camp. This was mainly due to the post training recovery methods and the great quality of food provided by a private local chef!
We want to thank TCA Kadoelen and their Members for providing the courts and Tennis Centrum Amsterdam for the great service during our lunch and dinner. We, Laurense Tennis Academy Amsterdam, look forward to next weeks High Performance Camp and welcome our new participants to another incredible tennis experience.
