Alexandra Panova still needs one more win to defend her points, but this should keep her around #80.

Mandy Minella is the only seed left in the top half. If she can make the final, she will rise to around #65.

Singles – Second Round: (5) Bojana Jovanovski def. (Q) Valeria Solovieva 6-2 6-3

Bojana Jovanovski defends her points and sees to it that she will stay Top Hundred.

Singles – Second Round: (6) Nina Bratchikova def. Estrella

Cabeza Candela 6-0 retired (abdominal strain) This should take Nina Bratchikova above #90.

Singles – Second Round: Magdalena Rybarikova def. Tamarine Tanasugarn 6-1 6-0

Ouch. Tamarine Tanasugarn came here ranked #150. Her first round win will probably gain her a few spots, but can she really continue like this?

This is the first WTA quarterfinal of Julia Cohen’s career. She should rise to around #120.

It has been almost five years since Olga Puchkova’s last WTA quarterfinal. She rises to probably a little above #160.

Aleksandra Krunic reaches her first WTA quarterfinal. She will be in the #175-#180 range.

Doubles – First Round: (2) Kudryavtseva/Tanasugarn def. Cabeza Candela/Pous-Tio walkover (Cabeza Candela: abdominal strain) That’s two out of eight first round matches ending in walkovers….
