Serena Williams to Play

Wimbledon champion Serena Williams will face off against 6th-seeded Chanelle Scheepers in the quarterfinals of the Bank of the West Classic Friday night.

The match will be the first of the night session, which is set to begin at 7:00 PM.

Day 4 Recap; Bartoli defeats Burdette

2nd-seed Marion Bartoli defeated Stanford Senior Mallory Burdette today in straight sets to advance to Friday’s quarterfinals.

Burdette went up 5-3 and had 2 set points in the first set, but Bartoli was able to overcome that and win 7-5, 6-0.

Courier vs. Chang

Jim Courier defeated Michael Chang 7-6, 6-4 in an exhibition match tonight at the 2012 Bank of the West Classic.

Courier and Chang will face off again tomorrow night after the Serena Williams match.
