Second seeds Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan recorded their 50th match win at The Championships on Saturday when they reached the third round.
The 2006 and 2011 titlists knocked out British wild cards Jamie Delgado and Ken Skupski 7-6(2), 6-0, 6-2 in 77 minutes. The Americans hit 13 aces and 24 winners, losing just six points in the 17-minute second set.
The Bryans, now 50-11 overall at Wimbledon, will next face Frenchmen Arnaud Clement and Michael Llodra, who beat them in the 2007 Wimbledon final.
Fourth seeds Leander Paes and Radek Stepanek, this year’s Australian Open champions (d. Bryans), converted four of their 12 break point opportunities to beat Israelis Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram 6-2, 6-4, 7-6(5) in two hours and 20 minutes.
Fifth seeds and 2010/2011 finalists Robert Lindstedt and Horia Tecau hit 10 aces and 17 winners past Thai twins Sanchai Ratiwatana and Sonchat Ratiwatana in a 6-2, 7-6(3), 7-6(2) win for a third round meeting against Belgians Steve Darcis and Olivier Rochus.
