Hi Tennis Friends
Today Roland Garros 2012 has officially started and it was my bussiest day since I arrived to Paris.
In the past days I was spending a lot of time welcoming players back on court and supporting Laura Robson in her 1st Roland Garros Qualifying event!
Laura lost in the last round in tough 3 sets but has made it into the tournament as a lucky looser and will play Medina Garrigues (an adidas player)
The past days was also the players spending time with adidas in the fan zone where there are many activities during the day and where you can get a break from the sun!
The ball girls and ball boys are the center of attention on Roland Garros and have the most impressive warmup routines of them all! The other day they were getting a briefing on crt one and we got standing ovation when we finished our practice.
Yesterday we had a great day with the adidas Business Unit where Mats and I spend some time on court providing some tips and on court drills to test the newest footwear!
The white building that is located overlooking court 5 will be broadcasting around the globe the next 2 weeks tennis and we are welcomed everyday by the 4 musketeers of tennis and the davis cup statue between Center court and crt 1!
I also got my locker for this year with a easy number to remember 134 in the locker room of Suzzane Lenglen the number 2 center court!
The other day before their practice Caroline Wozniacki and Petra Kvitova were having a laugh in the post press room of Suzanne Lenglen.
Look forward to send more updates as the 2012 Roland Garros has officially started with blue sky’s and 30 degrees! Courts are getting harder by the day and the balls are moving fast through the hot air! Will we see some upsets? Will it benefit the big hitters? All questions which will be answered.
