Lleyton Hewitt returns to his happy hunting ground on grass when the four-time winner makes a re-appearance at the pre-Wimbledon Queen’s event from June 11.

The 31-year-old gets a wild card after missing three months of tennis as he recovered from another foot operation.

Hewitt is hoping to also play in the French Open which starts at the weekend before testing his luck on the grass at Queen’s and Wimbledon, which he won a decade ago after also taking the trophy at the club in west London.

“I’m really looking forward to returning after a couple of years away,” said the 31-year-old who defected to the rival Halle event in Germany and won it in 2010 over Roger Federer. “Queen’s has been one of my favorite tournaments throughout my career, and to be one of only four players along with John McEnroe, Boris Becker and Andy Roddick to have won the title four times is a thrill.

“It’s going to be great to come back after my injury and go straight out onto the best grass courts in the world, and then have Wimbledon to look forward to after that. I can’t wait.”

Also in the mix will be Swiss Stanislas Wawrinka, Andy Murray, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Juan Del Potro along with four-time champion Roddick
