Novak Djokovic was pleasantly surprised after being honored as the most stylish of all ATP players by the Italian edition of GQ magazine, a bible in the fashion-conscious home of high-fashion.

The Serb came up with a joking response upon getting the news as he came to media following his quarter-final win over Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. “I don’t consider myself stylish – I’m honored and unprepared.

“I respect elegance and fashion but I don’t depend on it. I believe that a person should feel nice and represent himself and the public in a good way – I hope you are happy with my answer.”

It was not the first time that the world No.1 had dipped his toes into fashion after appearing several seasons ago in more than one runway show during ATP charity events.

As it happens, Djokovic began last week wearing new-look apparel from clothing sponsor Tacchini, an Italian sportswear house, which featured prominently as a tournament sponsor.
