I’m rushing from the heat of Coachella to Germany. But the long journey will be worth it. Coachella was fantastic. (no I wasn’t covering it for 10sballs.com. It was a vacay. A holiday. A lot of great groups.) I’m missing Sunday but I think I’m roasted and toasted enough.
I’m looking at the draw as I’m boarding my flight. It’s got some tough first round matches. But with a sporty Porsche as part of the winners ” gifts ” it’s makes it so exciting. A winners check and a Porsche… That’s some great combo!
Top seed is the number one player in the world. That’s Miss Belarus. “Vika” the villain?
She has a bye (extra time to ride her broomstick) and then plays the winner of the great and entertaining Andrea Petkovic and wildcard Kristina Barrois.
Goddess and former number one Ana Ivanovic plays wildcard Mona Barthel.
Li Na plays Lucien Safarova.
The toughest first round that we’ve seen in a long time is Caroline Wozniaki also a former world number one plays Serb Jelena Jankovic. (another former number one?) someone tell me? Please?
