Singles – Semifinal: (3) Dominika Cibulkova def. Sorana

Cirstea 6-1 6-1

It appears Sorana Cirstea will hit the Top Forty, but just

barely; we have her right at #40. Dominika Cibulkova still

hasn’t moved, but she will be #15 if she can win the title.

Singles – Semifinal: (7) Sara Errani def. Carla Suarez

Navarro 6-1 6-2

No question now: Sara Errani is Top Thirty. A title would

make ber #28.

Copenhagen

Singles – Semifinal: (1) Caroline Wozniacki def. Petra

Martic 6-3 6-2

Caroline Wozniacki is still snoozing, er, cruising along:

Not much effort, and no points at all. Win the title and she

picks up some points, but she will remain #6 no matter what.

Petra Martic ends up just below the Top Fifty.

Singles – Semifinal: (2) Angelique Kerber def. (3) Jelena

Jankovic 6-2 6-1

How are the mighty fallen, and all that! Angelique Kerber

continues to amaze, but this was pretty feeble for Jelena

Jankovic. Jankovic should be #18; Kerber will be #14 win or

lose the final.

Doubles – Semifinal: (3) Date-Krumm/Fujiwara def. (2)

Rodionova/Rodionova 6-3 6-0

Doubles – Semifinal: Arvidsson/Kanepi def. Cornet/Parmentier

6-3 1-6 10-7 (Match TB)

No Key Biscayne, No Problem; New Site, Same Great Miami Open Tennis Event

It was the end of an era at Crandon Park for the Miami Open last year. From the Lipton, to the Nasdaq 100, to the Sony Ericsson, to the Sony, to the Miami Open presented by Itau, Key Biscayne saw it all.
