Tennis is picking up pace again with the Davis Cup Quarterfinals finished and only 5 days until the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters. Building up to that we’ve got the Men’s Clay Court Championship in Houston and the Grand Prix Hassan II in Casablanca, Morroco. Nadal and Djokovic are set to play a charity match in July, about three months from now to raise money for the Rafa Nadal foundation. The women are now playing the Barcelona Ladies Open in wherelse but Barcelona, Spain. Serena Williams won the Family Circle Cup this past weekend making her the 14th player of the Open Era to win at least 40 career titles. Well, enjoy the bounty of news we have spread before you and let your mind feast on tennis. Everyone in this world is looking to better their own lives. We attempt to do so by finding role models that we can try to live like. Roger Federer is my role model because he has set a good example for me on how to play tennis and on how to succeed in my personal life.

On the court Roger Federer is considered by many tennis analysts and players to be the greatest tennis player of all time. In 1998, shortly before Federer turned pro he won the junior Wimbledon title and the Orange Bowl. [Read More]

Austin Guts Out Revenge Win Against No. 5 Crawford at 45th Annual USTA Easter Bowl

For the second straight year, Brooke Austin and Samantha Crawford found themselves locked in a three-set battle in an early-round girls’ 18s ITF singles matchup at the Easter Bowl. Last year it was the unseeded Crawford of Taramac, Fla., beating the No. 11 Austin of Indianapolis in the second round 6-4 in the third. But this year, it was the unseeded Austin who pulled off the win, downing the No. 5-seeded Crawford 6-2, 1-6, 6-2 on the first day of the ITF girls’ 18s play on a warm 82-degree day at the Rancho Las Palmas Resort on Monday.
