Ronnie Schneider from Bloomington, Ind., received a wild card into the Boys’ 18s ITF event at the Easter Bowl by way of his victory last month at the USTA National 18s Spring Nationals in Mobile, Ala. Schneider, a high school junior, has committed to play the University of North Carolina to play his college tennis. After a week of play in Carson at the USTA Spring Internationals, Schneider checks in on the first day of the Easter Bowl.
Hi everyone,
Hope y'all (practicing for my future as a North Carolina Tar Heel) enjoyed your
Easter Sunday. I had a great day of practice with my coach Bryan Smith and a few
other fellow juniors.I got into Rancho Mirage yesterday after making the two-hour drive from Carson,
where I spent all of last week. I had a successful tournament, getting to the
quarterfinals before falling 6-4 in the third set to Noah Rubin. It was a
heart-wrenching loss, but I am ready to move on to this week.My favorite place to eat in the Valley, the Haus of Pizza, disappointed me
extremely when I went there for dinner only to find they were closed! Who closes
on Easter??? (kidding of course). I look forward to blogging more this week when
I can talk more about my matches and my experiences in Palm Springs.Have a great day!
Ronnie
