Murray has launched himself into the semifinals at the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami, doing much better than he did back in Indian Wells, however he faces the formidable Rafa whose last defeat was the Frenchman, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. Djokovic is set to face Ferrer in his quarterfinals match while American Mardy Fish versus Juan Monaco of Argentina in the battle for the semifinals. In women’s news Maria Sharapova defeated Caroline Wozniacki on Thursday, and is inches closer to finally winning the Sony Ericsson Open for the first time; but she might face some tough competition from Marion Bartoli who defeated the No.1 Victoria Azarenka, breaking her winning streak this season.
