Today, Thursday March 22, 2012 is a jam-packed session at the Sony Ericsson Open features six women’s Grand Slam champions. Five-time Miami titlist Serena Williams is second up on Stadium Court and will be followed by last year’s finalist Maria Sharapova. Kim Clijsters and reigning US Open winner Sam Stosur will play their second-round matches on Grandstand. Svetlana Kuznetsova and Li Na are in action on Court 1. On the men’s side, Americans Ryan Harrison, Sam Querrey, Donald Young, Jesse Levine and Rajeev Ram will all look to win their openers.
It was the end of an era at Crandon Park for the Miami Open last year. From the Lipton, to the Nasdaq 100, to the Sony Ericsson, to the Sony, to the Miami Open presented by Itau, Key Biscayne saw it all.
