Rafael Nadal and Marc Lopez Breeze Into Doubles Final   |

Indian Wells, CA – Rafael Nadal and Marc Lopez had no trouble beating Marcin Matkowski and Mariusz Fyrstenberg Thursday night 6-2, 6-0. Everything was going right for the Spaniards, and everything was going wrong for the Polish team. More surprisingly, Matkowski/Fyrstenberg looked like deer caught in the headlights of an oncoming vehicle, despite their world-renown success as doubles specialists. Nadal/M.Lopez weren’t doing anything fantastic or spectacular, they were just making balls. But time and time again, Matkowski/Fyrstenberg missed the shots they should’ve and needed to make, giving Nadal/M.Lopez all the momentum. It must’ve been disappointing to the Matkowski/Fyrstenberg camp as they’d find themselves up 40-15 or 40-30 in a game, and still get broken or miss returns.

It was all smiles for the Spaniards and the crowd let them know how pleased they were to see a timely display of good tennis from them. They will now face the winner of the match between long time friend and supporter of the www.10sballs.com website: Max “The Beast” Mirnyi and his partner Daniel Nestor versus John Isner and Sam Querrey.
