Hi guys. This is Austin Karosi. I am originally from california but moved across the world 2 years ago to live in Singapore. I just returned to California to spend my time at the Indian Wells ATP 1000 tournament as a hitting partner. Great opportunity to not only hit with some of the best players on tour but also hang out with them in the gym, lounge and cafeteria. Yesterday I started out warming up Olivier rochus before his match. Then a gym work out… And after an hour long serve and return practice with Lu. Coming from Taipei, Lu and I exchanged numbers for when I head back to Asia to possibly train together. Really cool guy who is willing to help out if I need it. At the end of the day I hit with American Donald Young. His opponent in the first round was Steve Darsis from Belgium. Donald asked to practice with me as I have a very similar game to Darsis. Our shared favorite shot, the one handed backhand. Overall… a pretty solid day of training.
Today I had a late wake up and rushed out to the tennis garden where I warmed up Gil Simon and Stanlis Wawrinka… Had bit of a shaky start when warming up Simon as I was still in the process of waking up (Sorry Gil) yet luckily by the time Wawrinka got to the court I was fully up and running.
