Singles – First Round: M Ebden def. D Sela 6-7(7-9) 6-2 7-6(7-1)
This was the day’s first match, and it lasted two and a half hours. Apparently they just can’t have quick early matches here….

Singles – First Round: D Istomin def. S Querrey 5-7 6-3 7-5
Another early-in-the-day marathon, this one lasting a bit over two hours. It’s perhaps not surprising, given that both these guys have done well here. But this was Sam Querrey’s big chance to gain ground before a friendly crowd — and, apart from firing 15 aces, he really didn’t do all that much.

Doubles – First Round: (1) S Gonzalez/Kas def. Dimitrov/Fruttero 7-6(7-5) 7-6(7-3)

Doubles – Quarterfinal: Anderson/Moser def. (3) Hanley/J Murray 6-1 6-4
