SAN JOSE, Calif. – Frenchman Gael Monfils has withdrawn from the 2012 SAP Open due to a right knee injury. Monfils was scheduled to play his second-round match on Thursday, February 16 at 7 p.m. at HP Pavilion at San Jose. Monfils will be replaced in the SAP Open singles draw by “Lucky Loser” Blake Strode (USA), who will now take on Qualifier Dimitar Kutrovsky of Bulgaria. An updated order of play for Thursday is attached.
Additionally, Monfils has withdrawn from the Regions Morgan Keegan Championships in Memphis, Tennessee scheduled to be played February 20 – 26 at The Racquet Club of Memphis.
