March 5 at Madison Square Garden

New York, NY (February 16, 2012) –The fifth annual BNP Paribas Showdown tennis event at Madison Square Garden has rolled out an aggressive marketing campaign, including proactive signage throughout New York City and the Metro North Rail Road to further promote the much anticipated tennis matchups on March 5th at Madison Square Garden.

The biggest single night of tennis will feature two best of three sets, with three-time Grand Slam champion Maria Sharapova against Caroline Wozniacki, followed by the most decorated player of all time, Roger Federer, against long-time rival Andy Roddick..

Millions of people who live and work in New York City as well as commute daily on the Metro North Rail Road will have the opportunity to see their favorite tennis players on bright BNP Paribas Showdown signage, which was recently unveiled in preparation for their individual match ups at Madison Square Garden.

The campaign includes a unique double billboard located in the heart of New York City and the Times Square location, at 51st Street and 7th Avenue. Additional images of the four players can also be found atop 400 yellow taxi cabs throughout Manhattan. Commuters who take the Metro North Rail Road to and from the Big Apple will see event signage on various platforms along all lines, as well as on 43 individual branded train cars.

The BNP Paribas Showdown is produced by MSG Sports and StarGames. Tickets, starting at $50.00, are on sale and can be purchased at the Madison Square Garden box office, online at www.thegarden.com and all Ticketmaster outlets. For more information visit www.tennisshowdown.com.
