Singles – Semifinal: (3) Daniela Hantuchova def. (Q) Hsieh Su-Wei 6-4 6-1

Daniela Hantuchova just loves this place — she is in her second straight final. If she can defend the title, she should stay at #20. Otherwise, she will fall to #21.

Singles – Semifinal: (4) Maria Kirilenko def. (7) Sorana Cirstea 6-2 5-7 6-4

Maria Kirilenko keeps struggling but somehow keeps on winning. She has now assured her Top 25 ranking. Sorana Cirstea will be just above #50.

Doubles – Semifinals: (1) Mirza/Rodionova def. (3) Amanmuradova/Date-Krumm 6-4 6-4

In this very weak field, it’s obviously no surprise to see the only team with a combined ranking above #50 (indeed, the only team with a combined ranking above #135!) in the final.
