Marion a wonderful performance for the week, you’re almost a pseudo West Australian because you’ve been here almost a month. Have you enjoyed it?
(Bartoli) Well I think Richard told me that 25 times today, so it’s going to make it 26 with you. I just, it was my first time in Perth and I had a blast. I really loved my time in here and obviously playing for the first time at the Hyundai Hopman Cup was really as great pleasure – especially with a great player like Richard. He’s as you know a very talented player, but also extremely nice person, so thank you.
Absolutely, very nice person. What a week, what a final and you weren’t going to let that one go. You produced some stunning tennis today.
(Gasquet) But first I would like tot hank Marion for this work, she’s very, very nice. For sure, it was wonderful for us to come. We did a nice New Years Eve, nice first time in Perth. We’re happy, we did the final. Nice crowd, everything was perfect. We enjoy it so we hope to come into the Tie and why not to win, but we had a play a good team today.
Now is that your first ever mixed doubles loss?
(Gasquet) Yeah I couldn’t play today; they were too strong for us. But for sure if we had to play a doubles mixed I never lose, no but we lost before, sorry.
Very good. Obviously you’ve got big things planned, you’re heading east now, the Australian Open is coming up, exciting times. Does the Hopman Cup, the three matches, four matches for you in the singles, put you in good stead for the summer of tennis?
(Bartoli) Yes absolutely. I think it’s really the perfect preparation and I wish to Petra and Tomas nothing but the best of luck for the Aussie Open, and to Richard as well. That’s why every single year you are the number one player in the world in here because it’s just an absolutely perfect tournament. So thank you so much for organising this kind of event, it means a lot to us that we had a packed house today and I’m so looking forward to being back next year and hopefully to get a title.
And we look forward to having you back. Put your hands together for France.
