Australian Open Wildcards Update

French players Jeremy Chardy and Aravane Rezai are the latest recipients of wildcards into the Australian Open.

Chardy, the world number 103, and Rezai, ranked 115th, will play in Melbourne thanks to a reciprocal agreement between the French Tennis Federation and Tennis Australia .

The French Tennis Federation selected Chardy and Rezai and as part of the agreement, and two Australian players will be invited to compete at Roland Garros in May. In 2011 Bernard Tomic and Casey Dellacqua were awarded French Open wildcards under the scheme.

Australian Open wildcards have been awarded so far as follows, with a further two men’s and three women’s to be announced in the coming weeks.

Lleyton Hewitt

James Duckworth

Marinko Matosevic

Ben Mitchell

Jesse Levine (US reciprocal)

Jeremy Chardy (French reciprocal)

Women:

Casey Dellacqua

Ashleigh Barty

Olivia Rogowska

Madison Keys (US reciprocal)

Aravane Rezai (French reciprocal)
