Maria Sharapova and British Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton put in some pre-Christmas time for watch sponsor Tag Heuer at a photo shoot sponsored by the Swiss firm. The result is an advertisement which should soon be released.

Four-time major champion Sharapova worked in the commitment amid training in Florida and the Thai holiday upon which she embarked last week.

The US-based Russian is celebrating a decent season, winning two WTA events, Rome and Cincinnati, after several years of rehab following shoulder surgery and a drop in form.

The Wimbledon finalist finished 43-14 in 2011 and will kick-start 2012 with a debut appearance in Brisbane.

The watch campaign featuring the player and the driver are part of a new Tag Heuer campaign for 2012.
