World-famous tennis coach Nick Bollettieri, who has seen them all, observes that 2012 is unlikely to be a repeat of 2011.
No one has much of a chance to have a 2012 year like Novak Djokovic had in 2011.
No one doubts the records and wins of Rafael Nadal. All of us must accept the clear facts that Nadal plays one way: beat up the ball and running down balls that were winners against most players.
Djokovic had a year that is so difficult to believe what really happened but at the end of this year both of these players were mentally and physically unable to perform.
Roger Federer plays a very different style of play and at no time does he use excess energy. His movement is smooth as silk and when needed he comes up with a big serve. His coach Paul Annacone (a former student) knows how to give little tips and then confidence.
It will be a very interesting year to also observe Andy Murray and Juan Martin Del Potro. Watch out for a few of the young ones, they’re ready to break into the top 10.
