The WTA has announced its player awards for 2011, and coming out on top with no less than four awards is Petra Kvitova, who followed up her unexpected Wimbledon victory by lifting the trophy at the WTA Championships in Istanbul as well as four other titles. After voting had taken place she also led the Czech Republic to victory over Russia in the final of the Fed Cup.
The awards are the result of voting across the spectrum, from the media, from players and from fans, and the honor board is:
