World No. 3 Roger Federer has qualified for the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals for the tenth consecutive year. The tournament will be played at the O2 Arena in London between November 20-27, 2011.

Roger is the fourth player to qualify for the prestigious end-of-year event. The Swiss superstar made it into the London draw when he moved into the fourth round at the US Open last week.

With 67 career singles titles and an Olympic Gold Medal in doubles the Swiss born player has had an amazing career starting in 1998. 2011 has only seen Fed winning one title in Doha early in the year. His Grand Slam results this year have been very good with a semi-final loss at the Australian Open, runner up at Roland Garros, quarters at Wimbledon and a semi-final at the US Open.

The tournament is for the top eight singles players and the top eight doubles teams. The O2 Arena in London will host the event for the third consecutive year.

Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray are the only other three players who have qualified for the event so far.

Former world number one Roger Federer won the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals last year overcoming Rafael Nadal in the final in three sets. Federer has been the winner at this event in 2003, 2004, 2006, 2007 and 2010.

“It felt great to qualify once again. I had a great week at The O2 last ear so I look forward to defending my title. The atmosphere is incredible,” Roger said.

David Ferrer, Mardy Fish, Nicolas Almagro Tomas Berdych, Robin Soderling and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga are the players competing to qualify for the London event.

The format in London starts off with the top eight players playing a minimum of three round robin matches to determine which four players will move into the semi-finals.
