Super Saturday/ Super Stupid

Super Saturday/ Super Stupid  |

Yup. That’s been my take on it from the inception. It’s super for CBS. That’s it. Fans point of view being there. Too long. Watching on TV`. Same too long. As I said. Marketed as a deal of the year… The tennis day of the year ?

For the players. It sucks. If you are first on court ok maybe its ok. But if you are like Serena tonight. A night match that finished on court just before midnight. She Still has press to do. (Interviews). Shower. Stretching. Eating. Sleeping. Busy lady in less than 15 hours time for finals. Its still hers to win or lose. No ones in her league.

She hits like she wants to punish each ball…

Super Saturday. Really stupid Saturday. For Sam Stosur who finished a few hours before Serena.Serena said today she couldn’t get to sleep till four am … Did she look flat , fat , and tired … Yes ..  But why did the chicks who played their finals today on Sunday have to play so late in the day or night. Shame on the suits. The powers that be. Tennis players need a union. The men’s. The women’s. There needs to be intelligent choices made during the fortnight. Not what’s best for TV.

No Key Biscayne, No Problem; New Site, Same Great Miami Open Tennis Event

It was the end of an era at Crandon Park for the Miami Open last year. From the Lipton, to the Nasdaq 100, to the Sony Ericsson, to the Sony, to the Miami Open presented by Itau, Key Biscayne saw it all.
