I ran into Disco Dottie today, and she made the funniest comment “Re: tweets.” She was going on and on about if Tilden tweeted… What would he tweet?

Tilden: Got down two and half sets for fun then came back and won.

Or Vitas : Chicks. Chicks. Babes… I love the scent of a woman.

Vitas: I shouldn’t have been at studio 54 all night.

Or, Pancho Segura: (Unpublishable for certain).

Rod Laver: Having ice cream in Wimby Village.

Stan Smith: I like vanilla. Ha ha.

Lew Hoad: Late nite… Another late nite.

Harry Hopman: Go to bed.

Pat Rafter: Where are you mates?

So the last Tilden tweet: I’m so good. I’ll serve holding five balls in my hand. I’ll serve four aces, and casually flip the 5th ball over my shoulder as I change ends.

Happy Birthday Dear Gussy. Always the biggest glamour girl tennis has ever known. You put our sport on the map. Check her out in the DVD of “Pat and Mike” with Katherine Hepburn. You guys see my old ticket stub on site. I have seen a lot of US Opens, sometimes it was more like the U.S. corporate Closed….

I still want to see it packed with 10 dollar tickets for grounds passes. I want to see kids, I want to see tennis affordable to the masses. It’s an important sport for now and the future. Great for busting stress, burning calories, getting healthy… The price is low. Fill the house, daily… Disco really has my head spinning with old champions and what their quips might be.
