Rain affects all in US Open  |

The US Open is built on a Dump. They call in Landfill. It sounds so much nicer. So chances of a roof over the various show courts or stadiums…
Play has just started on all courts .On Louis Armstrong. One big problem. The Andy Roddick and David Ferrer match stopped after a few minutes of play. They went back to the locker room. FYI. The players all want to play. The court surface has water leaking up onto the court. (From underneath. First bubbles, now cracks).
The fans, they aren’t there. The option of TV viewers watching all courts is done. It’s whatever the producers at ESPN want us to watch.
So where are the fans? First of all the ticket prices were crazy in this economy. No family packages. Not enough two for one deal. Just not realistic … Grounds passes. Used to cost five bucks… Now they are fifty or more… got to run too much awesome tennis in all directions.
