I took the 9 am bus from the W Hotel towards the US Open site in order to be there at 9:30am and get ready for the 10am practice with Jo Tsonga.

Unfortunately the roads were so busy that we arrived at the drop off area of the US Open at around 9:50.

Due to the fact that I hate to hustle to be on time for a practice let alone to be too late I went to the referee’s office to pick up the balls and then real quick put on the brightest shirt I had in my bag and my new Adidas Adizeros.

When I arrived at the court, Jo had exactly dressed up in the same outfit and we both had to laugh at each other. Juergen Melzer and Stan Wawrinka who were on the court next to us including their coaches were giggling as well.

When my colleague Sven Groeneveld saw Jo and me after the practice he said, “you guys look like twins” and took a picture.
