Bhupathi and Paes Defeat the Bryan Bros

Cincinnati, Ohio. The handsome team from India took out the number one team in the world. Crazy scores.

The Bryans took the first set 6-1. That’s a shocker. Ok. The Indian duo won the second set in a tiebreaker 7-6 (7-2). Ok. Then comes the dumb, dumb no third set. Now there’s the first to 10 super breaker. So much luck. So much. Too much.

Third non-set was won by Mahesh and Leander. Diva Faye calls them Lee and Hesh but she knows them better than I do. The score 10-7. Match time was 1 hour and 21 minutes.

Mahesh and Leander will face Michael Llodra and Nem Zimonjic in the finals. They took out the team of Cabal and Mayer. Also in a dumb breaker in the third. 10-4.

I remember when both Mahesh and Leander singles careers. Both are really excellent all round players. As I’ve said. Gifted athletes. Blessed in so many avenues. Lucky guys.

Looking ahead to Winston- Salem number one seeds the team of Rohan Bopanna and Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi play a tough team. Dlouhy and Tecau.
