Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic On Tomorrow’s Montréal Schedule |

World No. 1 Novak Djokovic will make his first appearance at the Coupe Rogers in Montréal tomorrow Tuesday. The Serb will face Russian Nikolay Davydenko in his first round.

Davydenko defeated Italian qualifier Flavio Cipolla in the first round 6-3 6-3. Davydenko’s career highest ranking was No. 3. The Russian is currently ranked No. 30 on the ATP Tour Rankings.

Djokovic and Davydenko have played each other 5 times and it’s Nole who leads 3-2. They played each other twice in 2009, once at the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 in Shanghai when Djokovic won in three sets and the second time at the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals in London with Davydenko as the winner in three sets.

The Djokovic vs. Davydenko match is scheduled on Centre Court second match after 5.30 pm. The match before will feature Marcos Baghdatis of Cyprus and American John Isner.

British star Andy Murray is seeded number four in Montréal this week. Murray, who lost to Rafael Nadal in the semi-final of Wimbledon has only played two singles matches since then when he played in Great Britain’s Davis Cup match against Luxembourg in July.

Murray started the year well being runner up at the Australian Open losing to Novak Djokovic in the final. He reached the semi-final of both the Monte Carlo Masters 1000 losing to Nadal and the Rome Masters 1000 losing to Djokovic. Another semi-final loss was at Roland Garros to Rafel Nadal. After the French Open Andy went on to win the Queens Club tournament overcoming Jo Wilfried Tsonga in the final. Andy will also compete in this week’s doubles event with his brother Jamie.

Andy’s opponent South African Kevin Anderson is ranked No. 35 in the world. The two played each other at the Australian Open last year. Murray slipped past Anderson in three easy sets 6-1 6-1 6-2.

Murray and Anderson are scheduled to play second match on the centre court but not before 2.00 pm.
