Spain’s Marcel Granollers is continuing his great form during the European clay court season. Yesterday, he blitzed past Italian Filippo Volandri of Italiy with a 6-4 6-2 win at the Bet-At-Home Cup in Kitzbuhel.

Graollers won the Credit Agricole Suisse Open in Gstaad last week beating Verdasco in the final and en route he took out Mikhail Youzhny and the second seed Stanislas Wawrinka. The 25-year-old Spaniard is now ranked a career high of 33 on the ATP Tour Rankings.

The Gstaad Champion sets up a clash with Croatian qualifier Antonio Veic who overcame in form Austrian Andreas Haider–Maurer 6-7 (3) 6-4 6-2. Veic’s best career performance was at last year’s French Open when he reached the third round before losing to Rafael Nadal.
