It will be the battle of the Spaniards in the final of the Crédit Agricole Suisse Open Gstaad tomorrow. World number twenty Fernando Verdasco will face fellow countryman world number 45 Marcel Granollers in Sunday’s final.
The No. 4 seed Fernando Verdasco beat another Spaniard Nicolas Almagro in the semi-final yesterday in three sets 6-7 (2) 7-6 (2) 6-3. Verdasco got revenge this week. He lost to Almagro in the semi-final of Hamburg last week
“We had very few chances to break each other in the first two sets because I think we were both playing well on serve. It was a very difficult match, very mental and I just tried to play point by point,” Verdasco said.
Fernando Verdasco reached his third final for the season. He lost in both San Jose and Estoril. He won his last title in Barcelona in April 2010 when he defeated Robin Soderling in the final.

“I started the match very well. But I lost my serve in the first game of the second set and then the match changed a little bit because Youzhny started to play better and better,” Granollers said.
Tomorrow’s final at the Crédit Agricole Suisse Open will commence at 11.00 am.
