STATEMENT REGARDING LINDSAY DAVENPORT:

Lindsay Davenport of the St. Louis Aces will be unable to play in the World TeamTennis Pro League this summer. Davenport, who is pregnant, was placed under travel and activity restrictions by her doctor today. Davenport was scheduled to play her first WTT match tonight in Newport Beach, Calif.

Aces teammate Maria Sanchez will replace Davenport in Tuesday’s match.

“Lindsay is like family to us so her family and health are what is most important,” said Aces President Dani Apted-Schlottman.
