Wimbledon Day 12!
Day 12 of the 125th Wimbledon Championships brought us our ladies’ singles champion … congratulations to Petra Kvitova! The 21-year-old claimed her first Grand Slam title with a straight-set victory, and Sharapova had only praise for her after the match.

Kvitova was not the only champion crowned today: the Bryan brothers won the men’s doubles title, while the women’s doubles title went to Kveta Peschke and Katarina Srebotnik! In tomorrow’s mixed doubles final, Mahesh Bhupathi and Elena Vesnina will take on Jurgen Melzer and Iveta Benesova. Who are you rooting for?

We can’t believe how quickly everything is winding down, but we are looking forward to one more day of Wimbledon excitement!

Tomorrow, we will also see Novak Djokovic try to best Rafael Nadal for the fifth time this year. Will the new No. 1 remind us why he’s at the top, or will the defending champion win his third Wimbledon title? We can’t wait to see how this battle plays out!

We still want to know which Wimbledon upset has surprised you the most. Was it Federer’s quarterfinal loss to Tsonga? Roddick’s loss to Lopez? Wozniacki’s loss to Cibulkova? Vote here!

We’d love to hear your thoughts on Wimbledon! To be included in our next readers’ mailbag, email us at 10sBallsNews@gmail.com.
