The Big Boss seems to think I hang out in glamorous places with glamorous people, well I do. Unfortunately, I haven’t met up with Angelina yet.
Global Chick has been to Wimbledon many of times. The Championships oozes class from the entry to the practice courts at Aorangi. GB was lucky enough to stay in rented accommodation in the famous Wimbledon Village.
One year I ran in to Matthew Perry, Chandler from Friends. He tried to make conversation with me but I couldn’t get a word out. I was tongue tied for the first time in my life. He laughed at me as my face went completely red. He’s a very charming young man, shame I couldn’t talk to him.
If you compare Wimbledon with the other three Grand Slams, it’s clearly the most spectacular place. The food around the grounds are not great and if you manage to find a sandwich you like it will set you back quite a few pounds. The scenery, the flowers, the buildings, the court and of course the royal box. I wish I was there last year to see the Queen and David Beckham.
Kate and William came out to support Andy Murray yesterday. Kate looked so good. What a role model to all out there. Kate and Wimbledon go hand in hand, please come back next year Kate.
US Open and Australian Open are both concrete jungles. US Open is the noisiest place. Close to both Newark and JFK Airports the planes are flying very low over the site. There are jazz bands playing and the New Yorkers cheering. French Open is very……French but the food and coffees are great. Australian Open is a very organised event. The crowds are growing bigger each year. But no other Grand Slam measure up to SW19’s event.
Good luck Andy Murray.
