Top seed Caroline Wozniacki is through to the fourth round after a 62 minute win over Jarmila Gajdosova, 6-3 6-2. “I thought I played pretty well. I think I served well in the important points and I got a lot of returns back. The first four return games from both sides, we just held pretty easily, but then afterwards we got a lot of returns back and I thought that we played well,” the Dane said after the match.

What was going to be a tough match turned in to The Roger Federer Show on the Centre Court. Feds cruised past David Nalbandian in three sets 6-4 6-2 6-4. The Swiss star is looking forward to next week. “It is always exciting when the draw comes together on the Monday and all the men play at the same time. It’s cool and nice to be there when the matches get tougher but I’m excited.” Roger was concerned playing Nalbandian after losing to him eight times before. “I had a good level today and I served extremely well and I am very pleased,” the former Wimbledon Champ said.

Popular Cypriot Marcos Baghdatis got a set off Novak Djokovic on Centre Court but the No. 2 seed was too strong. Djoko came through 6-4 4-6 6-3 6-4. Novak got annoyed with himself as he thought he missed too many shots from the baseline. At one point he smashed his racket on the ground. “It was frustrating and I did lose my temper. In my case it does help to get my frustration out sometimes,” the Serb said.

In 2005, Rafael Nadal lost to Giles Muller at Wimbledon. The Spaniard admitted being a bit vary of Muller. Nadal needed two tiebreaks to get ahead. The third set was a breeze with Nadal winning 6-0. “It was a very difficult match in the first two sets. I had no real chance to break him and the tiebreak is like a lottery,” Nadal said. Rafa’s next opponent is Juan Martin Del Potro of Argentina, who took out Giles Simon of France 7-6 (8) 7-6 (5) 7-5.

Serena Williams crushed Russian Maria Kirilenko, 6-3 6-2. Williams who is coming back from injury is happy to still be in the tournament. “I’m feeling better about my game. Every match is getting better, my serve is getting better. It’s about getting better rhythm that I’ve been missing a bit. I really want to improve my serve, move and enjoy myself and stay focused,” the American said.

Young Aussie Bernard Tomic had a surprisingly easy match against No. 5 seed Swede Robin Soderling. Tomic won in straight sets, 6-1 6-4 7-5. Tomic is the first 18-year-old to reach the fourth round of Wimbledon since Michael Chang in 1980. Tomic will face Belgian Xavier Malisse next.

Russia’s Maria Sharapova had an easy two sets win over Czech Klara Zakopalova 6-2 6-3. Maria’s fourth round opponent will be China’s Shuai Peng.
