Serena Williams was not a happy player yesterday when she was made to play on Court Two for her second round match against Simona Halep from Romania.
Serena struggled in the first set against the young Romanian player but quickly turned the match around winning, 3-6, 6-2, 6-1.
“They like to put us on Court Two, me and Venus, for whatever reason. I haven’t figured it out yet. Maybe one day we’ll figure it out. Venus and I have won more Wimbledons together than a lot of the players, by ourselves or in the doubles event.
Williams said, “I don’t make it a big issue, but I think at some point maybe I should.”
Court Two only holds 4000 people and for players of the Williams sisters’ calibre they deserve a to be on Centre Court or Court One.
