The All England Club are not happy with the government taxing endorsement deals of international professional athletes who compete in Britain. The Revenue and Customs Office want a piece of the athlete’s global endorsements.
The Wimbledon Chief Executive Ian Ritchie said, “Nobody has any problem with taxation on prize money but in individual sports, athletes are taxed on their global endorsement income when they compete in this country.”
The All England Club is trying to solve this problem after having lengthy discussions with players and agents.
