Wimbledon: The first of many rain delays.

Everyone is still talking about Isner vs Mahut match …. Is this one going to be the shortest in history? How anticlimactic. Its like “Rocky part 2″. It’s just too weird. Wimbledon is weird, it can’t be explained. There is just magic there. One hundred and twenty five of them… this year is the championships 125^th anniversary….

What are the odds? Ok try this story “Geezer ” told…

“One year there was a fire in a nearby apartment complex/close to the back side of the AELTC… Smoke and ashes were everywhere. The TV commentator was commentating looked at the smoke and said, ‘that’s near my flat’ he took out his binoculars and said, ‘It is my flat…’ It was Warren Jaques a great Aussie.” How weird is that…. Or that Todd Woodbrige was on court as the ashes were flying and picked up a piece of paper/ash that was tennis related … Warren once coached him. If ” Geezer” remembers it right. His flat had a recent remodel and was faulty wiring?

Wimbledon is the official home of tennis. It’s THE Tournament to win… every tennis player that has ever played even spirits come to visit… Especially this year a new court 3 with 2,ooo seats and the 125 anniversary…. Sure glad Global Chick is around….
