The Wimbledon Day One - Rain stay away

All the reports are saying it’s going to rain for the next two weeks. Let’s hope Wimbledon won’t be a complete washout. We love our Wimbledon, it’s the most exciting time of the year for us tennis nuts. If you are thinking of going down to SW19 today, check out the weather on www.wimbledon.com. The report for today is: Mainly dry overnight. Monday starting bright with patchy rain later.

Looking at today’s schedule there are a few interesting matches to look forward to. The Radek Stepanek vs Fernando Verdasco match will provide some great tennis. British player Katie O’Brien will play Japanese veteran Kimiko Date-Krumm. Two Croatian players will battle it out on court 3, Ivan Ljubicic and Marin Cilic. Another Croat, the big serving Ivo Karlovic will take on the slightly quirky Janko Tipsarevic from Serbia. Australia’s Jelena Dokic is always a dangerous opponent, she will meet former French Open Champion Francesca Schiavone of Italy.
