The ITF has confirmed that the 2011 Fed Cup by BNP Paribas World Group Final between Russia and Czech Republic will be held at the Olympic Stadium in Moscow. The final takes place on 5-6 November.
Czech Republic, also a semifinalist in 2009-2010, will compete in its first ever World Group Final since becoming an independent nation, while Russia is bidding to lift its fifth trophy in eight years. The Olympic Stadium, built for the 1980 Summer Olympics, has played host to many Davis Cup and Fed Cup ties over the years, but this is the first time since 2003 that it will stage a Fed Cup by BNP Paribas World Group Final.
