If you are at least 18 years of age and want the chance to earn free tickets to one of the premier professional women’s tennis tournaments on the West Coast, become a volunteer at the Bank of the West Classic, July 23-31 at the Taube Family Tennis Stadium on the beautiful Stanford University campus.

The Bank of the West Classic, now in its 41st year, is one of the oldest women-only professional tennis tournaments in the world and is the first stop of the 2011 Olympus US Open Series. A WTA Premier event, the Bank of the West Classic features a 28-player singles draw and a 16-team doubles draw with total prize money of $700,000.

Already scheduled to appear at this year’s event are three-time Grand Slam Champion Maria Sharapova, 13-time Grand Slam Champion Serena Williams and world No. 7 Samantha Stosur.

Volunteer positions are currently available in several areas including transportation, ushers, guest services, hospitality, and tournament administration.  For more information please go to www.bankofthewestclassic.com and click on “Volunteers” to apply online.

As a volunteer you will receive complimentary tickets to the tournament, a parking pass, and an official tournament shirt. You will be asked to work a minimum of four shifts during the event in order to qualify for these tournament benefits.
