The French Federation (FFT) has decided to keep the French Open in Paris, rather than move it to Versailles or the other locals that were under consideration. The FFT said in a statement that the “enlargement and modernisation of the historic site at Porte d’Auteuil for the new Roland Garros” were chosen over the other bids. There are no specific details yet in regards to the renovation efforts, but it appears as if it had been decided, by officials of the city of Paris, to allow the FFT to expand across the street into the Bois de Boulougne.
